## Wpływ zaburzeń generowanych przez instalacje na dokładność wzorcowania przyrządów do pomiaru strumienia i ilości gazu

### Paweł Szufleński

#### Abstract

The aim of PhD dissertation was to identify disturbances which may occur in the calibration facility for instruments measuring the volumetric flow rate or mass flow rate and the quantity (volume or mass) of gas and to determine the effects of disturbances on the accuracy of the facility. In the PhD dissertation analysis of the possible location for the calibration facility in the gas compressor station, taking into account the occurrence of pulsations in the pressure and flow rate. To identify disturbances and to optimize the construction of the facility, computational fluid dynamics methods were used. The results of the numerical simulations were verified in a dedicated laboratory facility. The laboratory tests were performed using hot-wire anemometer and turbine meters. The results of this work were used to design innovative on a world scale and the first high pressure calibration facility for gas meters in Poland which are used for billing purposes in natural gas transmission and distribution systems.
