## Method of estimation of low-temperature drying equipment efficiency

#### Abstract

Rational energy management tends not only to search for a new energy carriers, but also to save already produced energy. This one of the way is the energy-efficient implementation of technological processes in agriculture. The paper presents the proposed method of selecting the advantageous equipment configuration for the grain drying process in the asssumpted conditions as a one of high energy consumption processes. The dissertation, apart from its main text, contains a title page, a table of contents, summaries in Polish and English, and a bibliography. The underlying idea of the dissertation was to look for tools to support the selection of the most energetically utmost configuration for technological processes, based on the example of drying equipment. The content of the dissertation, apart from the description of the status-quo of the subject matter, includes a list of proceedings related to the verification of the hypothesis on the practical effectiveness and usefulness of identifying such configurations for the simulation method. The logically justified sequence of such a procedure consists of the following analysis: - to identify the dryer configuration model as an evaluation object, - to model the process of generating effects of grain drying in a static layer using a model configuration with a model verification, - to select a set of performance indicators as its metrics, - to exemplify a simulated method of performance effectiveness evaluation, by determining the value of performance indicators for exemplary configurations of drying equipment, - to identify of the most serviceably beneficial drying configuration, based on the obtained estimates of the performance indicators. Based on the results of the exemplified method, there is no reason to reject the hypothesis that the method is useless.
