Sensorless control strategies for three-phase PWM rectifiers

Abstract

The purpose of this work was the control strategies for three-phase PWM boost rectifiers. Four control strategies are described: VOC - Voltage Oriented Control, VFOC - Virtual Flux Oriented Control, DPC Direct Power Control and VF-DPC - Virtual Flux Based Direct Power Control. Presented method are realized in simulation and experimental way and additionally are compared with respect to different conditions. Taking into account all operational features, the VF-DPC technique seems to be the most advantageous of all because provide sinusoidal current and low harmonic distortion when the line voltage is distorted. Additionally, various PWM techniques was described with special attention for new concept of Adaptive Space Vector Modulation (ASVM).
