Abstract

The main aim of dissertation's research were detailed analyses and testing of selected methods of digital processing of thermal LANDSAT TM images for receiving spatial distribution of surface temperature. There were developed several special algorithms, taking spatial distribution of emissivity into consideration. All of those methods had been analyzed and compared, especially for their accuracy and sensitivity and influence of individual input parameters on final results. The elaboration encompasses theoretical basics of thermal infrared radiation and broad survey (review) of different methods for thermal image processing, especially taking into consideration the atmospheric correction ways and methods to determine spatial distribution of emissivity.
