Abstract

The study is related with the renewable power source in the supply system utilization. Two basic compositions of solar power plants and performance requirements for the power electronic converters used in this power plants are presented in the dissertation. The aim of the research work was the evaluation of the power electronic converters that may be used with the photovoltaic and wind generators. . There were presented the theoretical analysis, computer simulations and research works of two DC/DC converters and three DC/AC converters designed in order to meet mentioned before requirements. Use of results of the study in developing renewable power sources may give better quality of supply systems and may shortened design process.
