Abstract

The purpose of this doctoral thesis was an elaboration of the method which allows determining the range ot the change of the voltage fluctuations at the superposition of the work of arc receivers. This method takes into account an interaction of arc receivers. In two initial chapters, the voltage fluctuation in power systems and results of the examination of the relationship between voltage fluctuation and light flicker have been presented. In these two chapters recommended measurement methods of the voltage fluctuation and light flicker were also discussed and the arc receiver was presented as the noise source. The main part of the doctoral thesis begins from the presentation of existing methods of the assessment of an increase of the voltage fluctuation resulting from the simultaneous work of a few arc devices. In theoretical part of the work power-voltage characteristics at the assumed model of the arc device was developed. Theoretical calculations was verified with the help of measurements of the voltage fluctuation and the probability short term. These measurements were carried out with the use of the circuit developed and made by the author and the flickermeter. At the end of the doctoral thesis conclusions concerning practical usage of outcomes of the work were given.
