Abstract

The aim of this Thesis was to investigate the possibility for appling of poly(propylene carbonate) to the modification of poly(bisphenol A carbonate). An important element of this work was to investigate the solid-state postpolycondensation process of poly(bisphenol A carbonate) and try using of the process for obtaining high molecular weight blends of poly(bisphenol A carbonate) with poly(propylene carbonate) or polyterephthalates: butylene and etylene. The large description of blends of both polycarbonates is as the result of the work. The studies on the solid-state postpolycondensation process in the range of obtaining of high molecular weight poly(bisphenol A carbonate) and effective appling this method to produce high compatible or homogeneous blends of both polycarbonates and poly(bisphenol A carbonate) with polyterephthalates: butylene and etylene using cheep oligomers as starting materials.
