Otrzymywanie, struktura i właściwości (metaloksy)diorganoboranów

Abstract

Methods for the preparation of new metaloxy(diorganoboranes) of the type [(µ-R2BO)MR2]2 (R = Al, Ga, In) and [(µ3-R2BO)MR']4 (M - Zn, Cd), R - Et, R2 = 9-BBN (9-borabicyklo[3.3.1]-9-nonyl) were developed. The multinuclear ( 1H, 11B, 13C, 17O, 113Cd) NMR spectroscopy characterization of new compounds was done. The structure of selected compounds was determined using X-ray diffraction analysis. A central fragment of a molecule is a planar ring M2O2 (M = Al, Ga, In) or a distorted cubane M4O4 (M = Zn, Cd). The influence of the kind of the metal on the bonding between boron and oxygen was determined, too. The properties of new compounds were investigated. The compound [(µ-9-BBN-9-O)AlMe2]2 decomposes to form metylalumoxane [MeAlO]n - a co-catalyst used for the polymerization of olefins. The compound [(µ-Mes2BO)AlMe2]2 (Mes = 2.4.6-trimetylphenyI) catalyses decomposition of dimesitylborinic acid. In addition, reactions of selected arylboronic acids with aluminum alkyls and trimethylgallium were investigated. The structure of [(µ-MesB(OH)O)GaMe2J2 was determined. The new method for the preparation of bis(pentatluorophenyl)borane [(C6F5)2BH]2 was developed. This compound is an active hydroborating agent as well as it was used as a co-catalyst for the polymerization of olefins.
