Operations in colour spaces for digital image generation

Abstract

Thesis concerns colour image generation in computer graphics. Problems of displaying colour images on CRT monitor are presented. The classification of colour spaces is introduced. The derivation of rules of transformation between colour spaces, additive operations and interpolation in particular classes of colour spaces is presented. Drawing , smooth filling of figures and antialiasing algorithms are presented. Implementation of atmospheric attenuation phenomenon which permits for generation of images with aerial perspective and with fog of any density for flight simulators applications. In appendices description of colour spaces, derivation of transformation matrix and full versions of algorithms are included.
