Analysis of ducted fan propulsion system for an unmanned aerial vehicle. Structural and technological project of rotor of ducted fan propulsion system

Abstract

This study deals with structural and technological design of ducted fan rotor for an UAV. The rotor designed in this thesis will be composed of 5 blades and a hub. The analysis of those elements is made with use of MS Excel program in an analytical way, to fully understand the work of elements of the rotor. Whole structure was designed in a parametrical way, to allow for using it when dealing with other geometries. The structure of elements is designed in a way, to fully utilize advantages of composite materials. The thesis also contains detail description of manufacturing technology of composite materials. It can serve as a tool for designing rotors and propellers for various applications.

Praca dotyczy projektowania strukturalnego i technologicznego wirnika napędu tunelowego do bezzałogowego statku latającego. Wirnik będzie składał się z 5 łopatek i piasty. Procedura obliczeniowa przeprowadzona będzie metodami analitycznymi, w celu pełnego zrozumienia zasad pracy elementów wirnika. Struktura wirnika zaprojektowana będzie w ten sposób, by w pełni wykorzystać zalety materiałów kompozytowych. Praca zawiera także szczegółowy opis technologii wytwarzania elementów kompozytowych. Może ona służyć jako narzędzie do projektowania wirników i śmigieł do różnych zastosowań.
