## Preliminary design powertrain system wheeled tractor with 3 gear, torque amplifier

#### Abstract

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze the tractor’s powertrain with a power of 80-110 kW and prepare preliminary design of a modernized system relying on the use of 3 gear planetary amplifier moment. The aim of the study was to obtain more gear ratio using the same classic four-speed gearbox. At the very beginning the construction of the drive system with the main emphasis on transmissions has been presented. The most commonly used gear stages and infinitely variables have been highlighted. After analyzing the available design solutions on the market it was decided to choose the tractor model Ursus symbol 1224. There has been made a detailed analysis of the drive system and the calculations for the two speed amplifier moment located in the original construction. Subsequently the characteristics of the tractor’s traction for the selected gear has been charted. The next stage involved an upgrade of the existing system by applying torque 3 gears amplifier. Other elements of the system have not been changed. After preliminary calculations of the new amplifier moment, the right amount of gear teeth has been chosen and the ratio and speed for each gear have been calculated. In the final phase of work a new characteristic of the traction’s modernized system has been implemented. Finally, two characteristics have been compared and the decision has been made whether there is a reason for implementing a change or not.
