## Analysis of the influence of electrochemical battery parameters over consumption of energy in light Electric vehicle

#### Abstract

The aim of the work is to examine how different battery parameters affect on the mass and the range of the vehicle. Three types of batteries with the same capacity were used for tests. At the beginning of this work it was posted the analysis of the electric vehicles market. In particular it was talked over what manufacturers of current EV offer, what are standard available cars with electric drive, and what parameters they have. Then there was posted the analysis of charging stations in Poland, and information about using types of plugs. Next in the work it was presented and shortly described types of batteries used to carry out researches. The following thing were characterized: structure of batteries, occurring reactions in batteries, advantages and disadvantages of strict types of batteries, and possible appliance of batteries. Next point of this work was presenting the model of vehicle, which was built by mathematical equations. In equations it were enclosed everything what is necessary to build simple model: cycle of driving NEDC to simulate some parameters of the driving, resistances of movement which are reacting during driving, drive system and the main thing in EV: battery. Simulations what have been made were used to determine which of the batteries has better properties to be applied in EV. For the needs of this work the model of EV was made in Matlab- Simulink program.
