Control software for a physical model of an industrial production line

Abstract

This thesis describes designing binary, discrete control algorithms by example of Festo Modular Production System (Festo MPS), using Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal) – programming tool for Siemens programmable logic controllers (PLC). The document contains complete description of all stages contained in creating binary control software, from requirements gathering to code creation. Describes experiences acquired during Senior Design Project course, for instance good programming practices and design methods, but also shows wrong ways of designing models and creating program code that might lead to problems or control defects in the future.

Przedstawia doświadczenia zdobyte podczas pracowni dyplomowej, tzn. dobre praktyki programistyczne i metody projektowe, ale także ukazuje złe sposoby projektowania, które mogą prowadzić do kłopotów i błędów w przyszłości.
