Material Design - examining the quality of graphical interface

Abstract

As a need for the thesis, the mobile application for Android platform was developed in order to examine a graphical user interface. It was presented by Google as Material Design and it is the guide how to design and implement graphical components properly. The thesis includes an overview of native components and exemplary usage of them in the application. The author describes how a graphical interface behave on devices with different screen sizes and dimensions.

Na potrzeby pracy została stworzona aplikacja mobilna na platformę Android w celu zbadania zagadnienia graficznego interfejsu użytkownika zaproponowanego przez Google jako Material Design, czyli zbiór zasad i wskazówek dotyczących projektowania i implementowania graficz-nych elementów aplikacji. Praca zawiera przegląd natywnych komponentów oraz przykład ich wykorzystania w aplikacji. Autorka omawia zachowanie się interfejsu graficznego na urządze-niach o różnych rozmiarach i rozdzielczościach ekranu.
