## Analysis and evaluation of the motivating system for the employees in the X company

#### Abstract

The idea behind creating this diploma/licentiate thesis is the intention to deepen the knowledge in the field of the methods of stimulating human activity in an enterprise, which is related to my interests. The objective of the thesis is the analysis and evaluation of the currently applied motivation stimulating systems in the X insurance company and introduction of corrections targeted at improvement in their functioning. The thesis shows that motivation is one of the most significant factors which have impact on the increase in efficiency, productivity, as well as improvement in the quality of the offered services. The diploma/licentiate thesis consists of the introduction, four chapters and recapitulation. The first chapter allows getting to know the most popular definitions of motivation and general theory related to this concept. There are also presented the most popular in contemporary companies numerous earning and non-earning motivating factors and the most common errors in motivating. The objective of the second chapter was presenting the history of the analysed enterprise and its characteristic. The third chapter was devoted to the analysis on the results of the conducted research in a form of a questionnaire survey and direct interview. The survey covered 58 employees hired in the surveyed insurance company. The goal of the questionnaire survey was obtaining the basic information regarding motivation systems currently used in the analysed company. The interview was targeted at supplementing this information through obtaining more detailed statements from the survey respondents. The fourth chapter contains conclusions obtained from the conducted surveys and recommendations leading to improvement in the current level of employees’ hired there to work.
