Wlodzimierz Ogryczak is a Professor and the Director in the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering (ICCE). He is a leader of the Optmization and Decision Support Group. Both his M.Sc. (1973) and Ph.D. (1983) in Mathematics received from Warsaw University, D.Sc. (1997) in Computer Science from Polish Academy of Sciences, and the title of Professor of Technical Sciences awarded in 2011. Since 2000 with ICCE. Earlier with University of Warsaw, Institute of Computer Science 1973-2000. Meantime he served as the H.P.Kizer Eminent Scholar Chair in Computer Science at Marshall University, USA, 1989-1992, and as a visiting professor at Service de Mathematiques de la Gestion, Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, 1994-1995. His research interests are focused on Operations Research models, computer solutions and interdisciplinary applications in the area of optimization and decision making with the main stress on: multiple criteria optimization and decision support, decision making under risk, equity and fairness, location and distribution problems. He has published three books and numerous research articles in international OR journals.
