Janusz A. Dobrowolski received MSc degree in Electronics Engineering in 1965, PhD degree in technical sciences in 1973 and DSc degree in technical sciences in 1979, all from the Faculty of Electronics of the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. His main research interests are in microwave theory and techniques, microwave device and network modeling, design and measurements. In years 1990 – 2005 he was the Director of the Institute of Electronic Systems of the Warsaw University of Technology. He was also a Head fo the Microwave Circuits and Instrumentation Division in the Institute of Electonic Systems in years 1979 – 1983 and 1985 – 2012. He is a Member of the Microwave Section and of the Signals, Systems and Electronic Circuits Section of the Committee of Electronics and Telecommunication of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is A Fellow Member of the IEEE. He is a Member of Scientific Committee of the International Conference on Microwaves, Rdar and Wireless Communication MIKON, International Conference on Signals and Electronic Systems ICSES and of the National Conference on Electronics KKE. He is an author or co-author of more then 130 scientific publications and book, three of which were published in the U.S.A., in 1991 - Introduction to Computer Methods for Microwave Circuit Analysis and Design, in 1996 - Computer-Aided Analysis, Modeling and Design of Microwave Networks, and Microwave Network Design Using the Scattering Matrix in 2010.
