The impact of suspension parameters on selected features of bogies dynamics in the transition curves

Abstract

The article presents results of the authors' studies aimed at the impact of the suspension parameters on selected features of bogies dynamics in the sections of transition curves for velocities below and above non-linear critical velocity. Parameters which were tested are the coefficients of lateral kzy and longitudinal kzx stiffness in primary suspension. The following three 2-axle bogies were examined: 25TN bogie of the freight car, bogie of MK111 passenger car and bogie of the average parameters. In the study two values of circular curve radii in the range from R=300 m to R=2000 m will be selected.
