Analysis of the velocity of the collision between rape seeds and elements of a hulling machine

AbstractThe distributions of the velocities of the collisions between rape seeds and the working components of a disc huller were elaborated. Those cases of collisions were chosen that occur in the hulling process. Mathematical relationships for the velocities and angles of the rebound of the seeds from the working surface of rotor blades and groove of top cover as well as from the surfaces between the blades and grooves. The analysis carried out allowed the choice of angles of inclination of the working surfaces of the rotor blades and grooves of top cover ensuring the greatest velocities of impacts and the largest number of rebounds of seeds from the working components of the disc huller.
