Advanced A549 and MRC-5 3D spheroid culture in microfluidic system

In this paper, a microfluidic system for long-term spheroids culture and analysis is presented. Lung cancer and normal cells were cultured in an array of microwells for 10 days. The construction of the microsystem enabled observation of morphological spheroid changes. Both cancer and normal spheroids characterized by high cells viability which was confirmed by spektrofluorimetric and microscopic measurements.
