Equivalent-Circuit Modeling of Coaxial-Connector Center-Conductor Gap

We present results of equivalent-circuit modeling of center-conductor gap in coaxial connectors. We perform broad- band full-wave electromagnetic simulations of the connector interface and then model their results with a simple equivalent circuit. We further show that the model parameters have simple physical interpretation. Our results can be used to improve the accuracy of millimeter-wave scattering-parameter measurements with small coaxial transmission lines
