The design of down-converter for Ku-band RSKu-10 radar

Abstract

In this paper, the design of down-converter for Ku-band RSKu-10 radar is presented. The receiver consists of 8 identical down-converters. The input signals from the range 17÷17.5GHz are converted to 70MHz IF-band. The conversion gain is controlled within 19÷49dB dynamic range. The total noise figure of down-converter is less than 6dB. The gain flatness amounts ±0.7dB from 17GHz to 17.5GHz, and ±0.4dB within 70±4MHz IF band.
