Limits of Integration Using Polar Format Algorithm in Coherent Multistatic ISAR Processing

Abstract

This paper presents the analysis of limitations of the integration time in a coherent multistatic ISAR processing used for creating airborne target images in passive radars with the use of polar format algorithm. The limitations are originated by the effect of target walk. This target walk, in turn, is caused by a simplification of the target motion model in the algorithm applied.
