Template design for craniometric landmarks identification

Abstract

An important role in the soft tissue thickness measurement plays the head template. Suggested parameter settings during template creation are: sampling 2:5 mm, no smoothing, use of single image or averaging of maximum 4 images, use of inhomogeneity correction. The algorithm of template creation shows limited sensitivity to these parameters. Use of two templates for low and high Body Mass Index (BMI) is recommended.
