Dynamic Spaghetti Diagrams. A Case Study of Pilot RTLS Implementation

Abstract

Spaghetti diagrams are widely used as improvement tools within lean manufacturing framework. Drawing spaghetti diagram is time-consuming. The diagram is static and does not reflect dynamics of logistics systems. Real time locating system was proposed to overcome this drawback. A case study of pilot implementation of the system was presented. It was proved that pilot system may operate reliably in industrial environment in terms of hardware and software applied. System features and some improvements based on dynamic spaghetti diagrams were listed.
