Analysis of Simplified model of combined cycle power plant with supercritical parameters, installed on 1724 m above sea level and powered by natural gas, using GateCycleTM software

AbstractThermodynamic analysis of Simplified model of combined cycle power plant with supercritical parameters, working with natural gas which has been installed on 1724 m above sea level (the design value of ambient pressure is 0.822 bar) has been done using GE Energy GateCycleTM software. The purpose of this work is concerned with understanding, modeling, and analyzing the behavior of the power plants parameters in low atmospheric pressure and adverse weather conditions. The summary power of power plant in base load is 445 MW, which involves Alstom GT13E2 gas turbine and one 300 MW steam turbine. To analyze the model, calculation were performed in values -25, -15, 0, 5, 20, 30 0C of ambient temperature for base load (100 %) and in values 100%, 80%, 60%, 50% of power plant load for 150C of ambient temperature.
