Optimization of the working conditions of a laboratory size (100 cm 2 ) Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell

Abstract

A mathematical model of a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell (MCFC) is used to simulate an experimental lab-stand single fuel cell unit with a size of 100 cm 2 . The comparison of simulated data against the experimental results is shown and commented. The model was used for optimizing the working parameters of the cell. The results of the optimizing procedures were validated during experiments. © The Electrochemical Society.
