Patterns of Nature Described by Mathematical Models in Shaping Contemporary Elevations of Architectural Objects

Anna Nowak , Wiesław Rokicki

Abstract

The inspiration with nature constitutes an essential aspect in the architectural design. The development of digital tools used currently in architecture made it possible to transfer the possibilities found in nature into the methods of shaping the space and the architectural surface. Consequently, the process of design using mathematical models describing standards of the nature is becoming one of the most interesting trends in the shaping of contemporary architecture.
