Explosive properties of brown coal dust were tested with use of standard apparatus, in atmospheres of different oxygen content. Conducted experiments revealed significant influence of the dust composition on its explosive properties - especially in atmospheres containing less than 21% vol. of O2. Limiting oxygen concentration for the flame propagation in tested mixtures was found at the level of 13% vol.
