Synthesis and characterization of polymer composite base on RE3+:Al2O3 nanopowders doped by rare earth metals for application in optoelectronics

AbstractIn this work we report the recent results of our investigations on synthesis the PMMA composite base on Al2O3 doped by ytterbium metal. The set of the Al2O3:Yb3+ composite samples was manufactured and examined with respect of their structural, physical and mechanical properties. The investigations have confirmed applicability of developed synthesis method to manufacturing of good structural quality, decent level of agglomeration, good homogeneity and good thermal stability consisting of nanoparticles with average size in the range of several tens of nanometers."
