Synthesis and structure characterization of the trinuclear [AlMe2]2[(OCH2C6H4-2-NH)2AlMe] complex derived from AlMe3 and 2-(hydroxymethyl) aniline

Abstract

Trimethylaluminum reacts with 2-(hydroxymethyl)aniline in a 2:1 molar ratio to afford the trinuclear (AlMe2]2[(OCH2C6H4-2-NH) 2AlMe] compound, which is characterized by 1H and 27Al NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
