Analiza fazowa strefy granicznej połączenia stopu Hastelloy X z lutem Palnicro 36M

The article describes boundary zone for the Hastelloy X – Palnicro 36M brazed joint, in which liquid brazing filler metal interacted directly with solid base metal. The main objective of the research was to analyze the microstructure of the border zone and to recognize the occurring phases. Methods used in the research were light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with EDS analysis and X-ray diffraction (XRD). In the phase boundary zone the following phases were identified: molybdenum nickel (Mo1.08Ni2.92), tetrataenite NiFe, chromium nickel (CrNi), boron chromium Cr5B3. Studies have also indicated the possibility of occurrence of phases based on Cr3NiB6 and Mo6(Ni0.75Si0.25)7 intermetallic compound in the phase boundary zone.
