AbstractGas detectors have constantly been developed over the few last decades as a result of industrial demands: for monitoring air quality, in the automotive industry in medicine for the detection of biomarkers in several diseases. Generally, the gas sensors consists of gas sensor substrate with a gas-sensitive layer and package. The gas sensor substrates are usually realized in alumina and silicon technology and gas- sensitive layers are based on the metal oxides. Flexible gas sensor substrates are very promising in the portable exhaled breath analyzers.
