Liquid crystal materials with high birefringence and low-loss for THz applications

p-17: Liquid crystals with a high birefringence are in- creasingly exploited in many photonic devices working in the visible and infrared range. Liquid crystals are also excellent materials for THz ap- plications because of their unique properties.The optical properties of four nematic eutectic liquid crystal mixtures are measured in the THz fre- quency range.
