300 Mbps Transmission with 4.6 bit/s/Hz Spectral Efficiency over 50 m PMMA POF Link Using RC-LED and Multi-Level Carrierless Amplitude Phase Modulation

Abstract

Successful transmission of up to 300 Mbps over a 50 m long POF link using a commercially available Fast Ethernet capable RC-LED is presented. Carrierless Amplitude Phase modulation was used with 16- and 64-point constellations.
