The Institute of Automatic Control and Robotics (formerly the Institute of Industrial Automatic Control) is one on the three Institutes of the Faculty of Mechatronics, Warsaw University of Technology. The Institute consists of three departments providing scientific, research and education activities: Department of Automatic Control, Department of Diagnostics and Process Monitoring and Department of Actuators in Process Control and Robotics. Students are educated in the areas of: Automatic Control and Robotics, Mechatronics and Biomedical Engineering. Moreover, the Institute takes responsibility for graduation in the field of Automatic Control and Robotics, namely : Automatic Control, Robotics and Industrial Computer Science. The Institute provides also post-graduate studies: Automatic Control, Mechatronics in Vocational Education, Industrial Computer Science and Information Management Systems, thus enabling continuous education and improvement of vocational qualifications. Scientific-research profile of the Institute is focused primarily on issues in the field of automation of continuous industrial processes, industrial and mobile robotics, diagnostics of industrial processes, mechatronic systems and biomedical engineering.
