Description in PolishRealizowany przez konsorcjum PW (IMiO PW, ISE PW), WIML i TMS Diagnostyka, projekt PBS3/B9/41/2015 „Optoelektroniczny monitoring stanu pacjenta w rezonansie magnetycznym” OPTO-SPARE zdobył drugą nagrodę (first runner-up) na wystawie Photonics Innovation Village 2018, podczas jednej z największych europejskich konferencji fotonicznych SPIE Photonics Europe w Strasburgu (22-26.04.2018). Zaprezentowany tam demonstrator inteligentnego materaca do monitorowania parametrów życiowych (tętno, częstość oddechu) pacjentów poddawanych badaniu MRI (lub innym procedurom medycznym, hospitalizacji, opieki poza-szpitalnej etc.) cieszył się wielkim zainteresowaniem uczestników konferencji i jurorów SPIE.
Description in EnglishSecond prize (first runner-up) at the Photonics Innovation Village 2018 exhibition at SPIE Photonics Europe 2018 for the “OPTO-SPARE” project co-funded by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development. Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors can be used to monitor a hospital patient’s vital signs inside a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner – where electronic devices cannot be used. In combination with a video camera used to monitor heart rate via subtle changes in face coloration, the approach provides a way to measure respiration rate that would be imperceptible to patients.
